It serves as a direct indicator of the level in steam generator boilers or steady vessels for hot water, slightly aggressive liquids and saturated steam. It mustn't be used for toxic, aggressive and crystallizing substances.
Level indicator consists of upper and lower heads, measuring chamber with reflexive glass. Level indicator is standardly equipped with vent and drain plug, on request can be supplied with valve. The head consists of valve and safety ball cap. Drain plug (or valve) is used for venting and draining of level indicator during its shutdown. Used reflexive glass enable contrasting observations of the state level.

Level indicator is connected via flanges or threaded connections in the vertical position from the side of the tank in which the level or the levels interface of measured liquid should be monitored. It works on the principle of communicating vessels. Level meter is used for direct monitoring of liquid level in pressure and non-pressure tanks. Measuring glass tube is protected by metal safety guard. Level meter must not be subjected to pressure surges, vibrations and shock.
